Daisyhouse Selected for Bold is Beautiful Project

Benefit Cosmetics Helps to Empower Homeless Women and Girls
29th March, Dublin

Daisyhouse Housing Association has been chosen as a beneficiary for the Benefit Cosmetics ‘Bold is Beautiful’ Project, which is an initiative dedicated to helping women and girls to be bold, believe in themselves and achieve their full potential by raising much-needed funds for charities through their Boutiques and BrowBars all over the Republic of Ireland.

Benefit Cosmetics is raising money for Daisyhouse and Look Good Feel Better by donating 100% of profits of all Benefit Brow Waxes in April 2017*. Customers and supporters of Daisyhouse can get behind the campaign by booking an appointment on their website ie.boldisbeautiful.com . The money raised will be instrumental in helping Daisyhouse to carry out its mission – supporting women out of homelessness.

Speaking about the campaign, Orla Gilroy, CEO of Daisyhouse Housing Association, said, ‘We’re encouraging all of our supporters and friends to drop into their local Benefit Cosmetics BrowBar or Boutique to get a Benefit Brow Wax and support Daisyhouse’s homeless women. There are many other ways our friends and supporters can get behind the campaign. Benefit Cosmetics will open the first, one-of-a-kind, all pink charity shop on South William Street, Dublin on Wednesday 5th April which will be packed full of pink delights from some of your favourite brands and all money raised** will go towards this campaign. If you have pink clothing items which you would like to donate, please drop them off at Benefit Cosmetic Boutiques on South William Street and Fleet Street, Dublin.’

Orla Gilroy concluded by saying, ‘If you’re not in a position to get your brow waxed or drop into the charity shop, you can still support the campaign by texting BEAUTIFUL16 to 50300 to donate €4 to Daisyhouse. The support that we receive will help us to provide safe, supported accommodation and time where our beneficiaries can start to rebuild their lives so they can feel safe, secure and empowered to move forward to independent, sustainable living.’

Benefit Cosmetics has announced that they will provide a free*** Gimme Brow mini worth €13 with any Benefit Brow Wax as a special thank-you for supporting the Bold is ‘Beautiful Project’.

About Daisyhouse Housing Association:

Daisyhouse Housing Association is an Approved Housing Body and Registered charity providing Supported Temporary Accommodation for 18+months to women who are homeless. Daisyhouse was founded in 1989 by the late Sr Una McCourtney CSJP (1935-1996) who recognised the lack of services for women fleeing domestic violence. With the help of her sister Eilish, former President, Mary Robinson and Ita Kelly, a property was found in Dublin 8 and Daisyhouse was born.
